Megan McBeth competes for Mississippi Miss Hospitality

Megan McBeth, will represent Brandon in the 62nd Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant July 29-30 at the Saenger Theatre in Downtown Hattiesburg.

McBeth is the daughter of Scotty and Joell (Harris) McBeth of Brandon and granddaughter of Joy Foster Harris of Magee.  She is a graduate of Northwest Rankin High School and currently studies Public Policy Leadership at the University of Mississippi.  She serves as an Ole Miss Ambassador and sits on the Student Programming Board.  She is also the Vice President of College Republicans and is active within Phi Mu Sorority, where she serves as Pledge Class President.  

McBeth will be one of the 28 contestants competing for the title of Mississippi Miss Hospitality and more than $100,000 in scholarships and prizes.  The theme for this year's pageant is "Mississippi Magic" and will feature live entertainment and a magician.

During the pageant week, local Miss Hospitalities will also take part in rehearsals, tours, interviews, and special events.  The week will conclude with two nights of competition- beginning on Friday, July 29 at 8 pm and concluding on Saturday, July 30 at 8 pm at the Historic Saenger Theatre in Downtown Hattiesburg.

For 62 years, Mississippi Miss Hospitality has continued the tradition of grace while touring the state to promote Mississippi's tourism and economic development.  For the past year, Jordan Whittle has traveled more than 30,000 miles representing the state as its goodwill ambassador.
